PERSPECTIVES
the blindfolds come off

It’s just about impossible to visualise a world with humans and no animals or a world with animals and no humans. Despite us co-existing with animals for as long as one can remember, their presence seems to be converting into some sort of invisible day by day. The conditions in which they dwell and the bitterness in the form of physical and emotional torture they are subjected to, is baffling. A considerable amount of animals are stray, they are forced to fend for themselves .
We here at Perspectives, have set sights on the betterment in the lives of strays. With this second campaign of ours after the webinar edition, called HANDS IN PAWS, we plan on collecting money and donating it to shelters in need. We also plan on shedding light upon the often overlooked lives of strays apart from feeding them.

To be a part of this month-long campaign, all you had to do was click a picture of you feeding the needy and we posted it on our platform.
It’s high time we inculcate the much-needed kindness and sympathy towards these voiceless, majestic creatures. It is our firm belief that the stranded and homeless deserve a good and comfortable life and we are focused on providing just that.
FEEDING DRIVE
For eons, dogs have been regarded as man’s best friend. However, man hasn’t always treated this best friend with the love and affection it deserves.
Crimes against animals, particularly stray dogs have been on the rise in our country for decades. These animals are treated so terribly because we do not find them worthy of our respect. We somehow lose all our humanity when it comes to these helpless creatures. They have been starved, tortured, killed, and assaulted at our hands and it’s high time this changed.
To facilitate this much-needed change, Perspectives started a campaign called ‘Hands In Paws’, wherein our aim was to get the dog lovers around us to spread this love all dogs around them by feeding them and caring for them. Because of all our volunteers, these animals have gotten to witness what love and care look like. We’d like to thank each and every one of you for contributing and helping these animals and using your privilege the right way.

As human beings, compassion comes naturally to us. Many of us want to help animals and wish that they wouldn't have to see what they see on the streets every day.
Adoption is one of the few ways to show how deeply you care. To accept a helpless creature as a family is one of the holiest jobs you can perform.
This is why we are here to reinforce the fact that adopting is the way you can make a lasting change. By adopting animals, not only do you spend less money, but you also save a life. You bring home a bundle of joy and simultaneously release the stress off of thousands of animals by discouraging the heinous crimes committed by places like puppy mills, where animals are viewed as a mere money-making scheme.
We're also here to lay a special emphasis on adopting the Indian Native dog and cat breeds. These breeds have been outshined by exotic western breeds that are constantly given more importance. After all, all dogs have the same loyalty and fondness towards their humans, regardless of their breed.
As Indians, having an Indian breed might be a wiser option because being natives they adapt better to our country's climate and are less susceptible to diseases. Another good reason to adopt Indian breeds like the Indian Spitz, Marahtta greyhound, and more, is that our dog breeds are stepping close to extinction every day since no one is ready to take care of them.
People believe that having an Indian breed won't make them modern enough. In actuality, the breed of the dog or cat you have doesn't reflect your modernity, but your ability to look past their breed does.
Let us make a difference in the lives of these beautiful creatures by giving them a place in our homes and our hearts, safekeeping the breeds of India and giving all the animals on the streets a shot at a better life.
